This New Years I dare you to push the makeup envelope and try something fun - makeup is suppose to be fun you know! duh.

Let's chanel your 14 year old self. Off to the school disco, the self that wasn't afraid of a little glitter - or trying new things. Cause lets be honest - all makeup things were new!

It is the one night of the year you can do something a little crazy and get out of your makeup habit.  We all know you just do the same thing every time in different shades of heaviness (hey! thats me!)

So here is the most basic of basic glitter ball version of the smokey eye - that honestly anyone can do! i SWEAR.

Here's what you need:

- Tissues

- Vasoline/ Lucas Pawpaw / lip balm (something to just stick the tissue to your cheek - got it)

- MAC Paints cream eyeshadow - i like barely there or sublime nature - this is your base so feel free to take creative control + Eyeshadow brush to apply.

- 1 tube of glitter, go metallic me thinks but again its all you girlfriend.

- 1 affordable medium size fluffy brush, & 1 soft eyeshadow brush. Something that you probably won't use again. I actually love and use the Eco Tools brushes - they are ah-mazing value!

- Mascara, with a dispoable wand if you have handy....

Here's what you do:

FYI - Maybe be outside??

- With a fresh clean face - do your base sans makeup. For you, that may be moisturiser, primer?

- Cut your tissues with a very slight U - so they will sit comfortably under your eye ontop of your cheekbone.

- With your finger sweep a generous amount of the Vasoline or Lip Balmy product of choice and place the tissue ontop. This will catch all the glitter fall out and keep the majority on the eye.

- Use your MAC paint and sweep on as eyeshadow. Don't be too neat or perfect - it's basically working as a glue and base in one. Sweep all across the lid crease and even under the bottom lashline.

- Pour a small amount of the glitter onto a tissue / plate or bowl.

- Press your medium fluffy brush flat on it's side into the glitter ensuring it is well coated.

- Whilst the MAC eyeshadow is still damp press the glitter coated fluffy brush flat onto your lid (eyes closed ladies!) Majority of glitter should stick but feel free to give a couple dabs - glitter ball it up!

- Use the smaller eyeshadow brush to do the same thing but just being a little more delicate and filling or adding detail where you wish.

- You will feel the shaow dry and this will hold most of the glitter. But please note - it will continue to fall in tiny sparkles just is the teensy glitter way! Give your head a good dance floor Madonna shake to get rid of any excess.

- 1 fine sweep of mascara once set.

- Peel off those cheek tissues and do you face & finish with a soft gloss or nude lip.

Finito!
