Biggest recommendation i can give all brides the #1 thing! The must do! Don't even try and escape it, do it, do it, do it (yes, I think i've made my point)

TRIAL

Trial, trial, trial, trial, trial .... (and i'm not just talking makeup)

Yes definitely a makeup trial is imperative - it's part of my terms and conditions. I won't do a wedding without the trial done, whether that be 6 months or 6 days prior to the big day.

For me the trial is the biggest, most important step in all of my wedding bookings. It's a chance to sit down with you one on one, talk about how much makeup you wear day to day? How much makeup you wear when you go out? Are you good at upkeeping your makeup once on? What do you like? What do you feel good in? What does he like you in? and the list goes on.

My point being.... no two brides are alike, yet all come with a fairly similar description of what they want. At the end of the day large sums of money and ALOT of effort go into your wedding day, and with an amazing dress, the perfect venue, the incredible photographer, and of course the right guy, all in place. You don't want something as simple as your makeup having you not feel like your best most gorgeous self.

But aside from makeup - (because when your time comes with me - i promise you'll get the rant.)

Rule of perfectly manicured thumb:

Anything that involves having someone touch you - Makeup, Hair, Spray Tan, Waxing, Facials, Nails, Lash Extensions - yes this list goes on. Please take my advice and trial it in the lead up. Make sure you are at the right place getting the right job done! Damn girl if you have to get that bridezilla out! Because i hate to say it but in my time i have seen streaky tans, stiff Ken doll hair, eyebrows burnt & eyebrows waxed off, irratation and reactions from pre-wedding facials, botched nails & yes chunky clunky lashes. All done the day before the wedding where there is no time to backup, and no time to fix or heal the problem.

This is not a scare tactic - this is just a warning to be organised. If you don't care about your nails - then please! Save the money for an extra Tequila Sunrise on your honeymoon and do them yourself. Take my advice.

So on this particularly balmy friday night - sleep well my beauties and plan those trials in!
